  • New A new design across every page. FocusTube’s own colour rule now drives the site: red marks only what the extension takes away, so what gets hidden is legible before you read a word.
  • New The homepage opens with a live preview of FocusTube clearing a YouTube page, instead of describing it in a paragraph.
  • New What’s new now has its own place in the top menu, on every page.
  • Improved The guide, comparison, privacy and terms pages all moved onto the same design as the homepage.
  • Improved Dropped the Tailwind CDN for one hand-written stylesheet — the site now loads without a render-blocking script, and every page shares a single cached file.

  • New Added a guide — How to Remove YouTube Distractions — a practical walk-through of hiding the feed, recommendations, and Shorts.
  • New Added an honest comparison — Best Distraction-Free YouTube Extensions — FocusTube vs. Unhook vs. DF Tube.
  • Improved Made FocusTube much easier to find in search and answer engines, and added a proper link preview card when you share the site.

  • New Hide sidebar — a new toggle to also remove YouTube’s left navigation sidebar for an even cleaner view. Thanks to a Reddit user for the suggestion.
